Welcome to the Sew Fun Cruise

sponsored by Shawn's Sewing Center

The Sew Fun Cruise is the Ozark's premier
fabric arts event at sea.
It's sponsored by the leading sewing center
in the Ozarks, and will be a time for
learning, relaxation and being with
like-minded people who love creating
a variety of different projects.

One thing that makes our cruise different
from a lot of others, is that we provide
the latest in sewing machines for you
to use and learn at no extra charge.

Here are the instructors that will head
up this exciting event.

Phyllis Batz, is the very creative mind at Shawn's Sewing Center.

She has been sewing and quilting ever since she was a little girl.

Sewing is an art that was passed down in her family.  She observed

her mother for years before taking the plunge at age eleven

and teaching herself to sew.

Phyllis loves teaching beginners.  Even though she is a master seamstress

and very proficient in fabric arts, she displays patience and kindness

to those who are wanting to learn.

Shawn Williams founded Shawn's Sewing Center in 2013.

He has been a leader in the sewing industry for over 24 years.

As a certified technician for all major sewing machine brands,

and an authorized Brother dealer, he owns the largest

Brother sewing machine dealership in Missouri.

His passion for friendly customer service has earned him a highly

trusted name in the sewing realm.  Shawn also hosts the

Sew Fun Cruise, bringing sewing enthusiasts together at sea.

Jacqui Wright was born and raised in Scotland.

Her passion and love for all things creative came from her mum.

Jacqui's mother taught her to knit and hand sew at the age of 8,

sparking a lifelong journey into the world of fabric arts.

Jacqui was part of many creative ventures over the years,

and finally moved to America in 2007.  She opened

Lowlander Yarn Shop in 2015, where she dyed her own yarn

and began to teach all things fiber.  She brought all of her creative

experiences and is now a team member at Shawn's Sewing Center.

Tina Bartelmay began her fabric arts journey as a young child.

Machine embroidery wa added to her tool kit in the late 1990's to enhance

her creative options and because it's so much fun!  Her collection has

grown to include an assortment of Brother single and multi-needle

machines.  She added a ScanNCut to her studio in 2014.

Tina is in demand as an official Brother instructor.  She retired from a career in healthcare and loves traveling across the country to share her

experience and lessons learned with the sewing-embroidering-

and crafting community.
